BIG BLACK: a 1996 black, 16.2 hand, Thoroughbred gelding. Henry has been one of the most successful 2’6” show hunters in the zone for the past half-decade or longer. Originally rescued by Michael from a trip to the local auction, where he might have ended up at the slaughter house, Henry was brought into FPF in 2013, where he has since done little more than win everywhere he’s gone. With multiple Pre-Childrens Hunter Champions at Lexington Spring, Lexington National, HITS Culpeper, Swan Lake, McDonogh and more, along with Series Grand Champions at HITS, year-end Grand Champions at Loch Moy, Swan Lake and in several local associations, Henry is one of FPF’s greatest success stories. He’s still going around like a champion, he still loves to jump around, he’s still the hack winner, and he’s now in temporary-retirement.
